Thank you for your interest in the Seattle Waldorf High School. We strive to make our admissions process a smooth one. Please feel free to contact our high school admissions staff at 206.522.2644 or by email if you need clarification.
Once we review your completed application forms accompanied by the non-refundable $60 application fee, we will call you within two business days to set up an interview. Deadline for new student application is January 14, 2010 at 4:00 pm. Applications received after the deadline will be considered on a space-available basis. Siblings of current students, please call our Admissions Office for deadlines and process information.
Please mail your application packet and the $60 application fee to:
Admissions Director, Seattle Waldorf High School, 160 John Street, Seattle, WA 98109
Meeting with prospective students and their parent or guardian helps us to determine the appropriate placement of your student in our school. During the interview, we give you an in-depth overview of our approach and an opportunity to discuss your questions about Waldorf education. In addition, we’ll schedule a classroom visit, during which you and your student will have a chance to see our facilities and get a better sense of our programs.
Admission decisions will be mailed by March 18, 2010. Upon receipt of your acceptance letter, you must return the commitment form, $200 tuition deposit and $500 new student fee by March 29, 2010. Our Admissions Director will then schedule an appointment with you to sign your tuition agreement, make payment arrangements, and fill out medical and authorization forms.
This is the final step in our admission process. Once you’ve signed your tuition agreement and authorizations, and paid the non-refundable $500 new student admission fee and $200 tuition deposit, your student is ready to join his or her class. The tuition agreement must be signed and payment received prior to the first day of class. Your student’s advisor may contact you to gather more information about your student before school begins.
We are pleased to be able to offer some financial assistance with tuition. Please call or email us to request a financial aid application, or download one from our financial aid page.
As the concluding chapter to a student's 12-plus-year experience of Waldorf education, our High School is committed to assuring that each Seattle Waldorf School graduate is adequately prepared to meet a range of post-secondary educational opportunities. The demanding curriculum requires that students with specific learning challenges have effective one-on-one support. We offer such individual support at four levels. More information.
