Immersed in highly intensive morning lesson blocks, students focus on a particular subject for one to four weeks. Throughout the block, a subject may be brought forth through a cross-curricular approach. A biology lesson may include elements of math, art and practical application of a theory. The study of Comedy and Tragedy may evolve into a one-act play festival and study in business management. Because subjects rotate in this way throughout the year, topics remain fresh and interesting, with lectures, projects, and collaboration making up the bulk of the work.
We also offer continuous track classes in smaller groups in the afternoons. Some of these classes complement morning lesson study and others introduce new subjects, such as World Language, Technology Lab, Life Skills, Instrumental Music, World Literature, and Movement/Physical Education. These often more skill-focused classes rotate on a quarterly schedule.
