Middle School Extended Day

Middle school students in Grade 6–8 need to remain physically active, interact socially with their peers, and begin to pursue individual interests (i.e. music, drama, sports, etc), which many families choose to pursue outside of school. However, we also find that students often benefit from, and enjoy, being supported in doing their homework. Sessions below are available to students in Grades 6, 7, and 8. Study Hall is offered free of charge, and will be held in one of the middle school classrooms.

Study Hall

Study Hall provides a period of quiet work time in which students are supervised by a middle school class teacher ready to assist them with their homework.

Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, 3:15 – 4:15 pm
No charge; no registration necessary.

Clubs and Activities

We offer extracurricular activities for students in Grades 6, 7, and 8. These activities meet after school in four- to eight-week blocks, and are provided by either SWS teachers or other contracted providers. Fees range from $70 to $140, depending on the duration of the activity. Extra-curricular activities with offerings, schedule and registration instructions are published throughout the school year.
