Looking for a Different High School Experience?

Seattle Waldorf School Has a Place for You!

We’re re-envisioning our High School program moving to a microschool model. Our small class sizes will allow for unmatched teacher-student ratio for individualized student support while diving deeper into our focus on experiential, place-based curriculum. With this change, we will be offering an affordable income-based tuition rate of $29,000/yr in line with our grade school and middle school programs. For previews of our new program, take a look at our Sample Curriculum and Weekly Schedule.

We’re excited to share more information at the following events:

Curriculum Night: October 17, 6:00 p.m.

Open House: November 4, 10:00 a.m.

Virtual Open House: November 29, 4:00 p.m.

Student Life

Our students are known and celebrated for who they are. They receive the support they need to grow and graduate knowing they can thrive on any path they choose.

Students are challenged to own their education and be ever curious lifelong learners, thinking deeply and reflecting on their personal and academic journeys.

All students participate in the study and practice of art, music, and theater, expanding their capacities for self-expression, empathy, and finding beauty in the world and humanity.

Experiential Education

Students are challenged to direct the path of their education, considering their choices deeply and reflecting on their personal journeys. Hands-on experiences allow students to enrich, expand, and practice what they’re learning in the classroom.

“I think most students will say that applying to college is stressful. For me it has also been incredibly exciting, and I think my Waldorf education has taught me to look forward to what is ahead of me, even if I am uncertain about what is coming.”

“Our child is at SWS because the program’s focus is on supporting the healthy development of the whole child – emotionally, physically and intellectually. It’s not just about skill acquisition. It’s not just a layer of “social and emotional” curriculum added on the side.”

I like to think I can do anything.

“I am so impressed by the way students are able to support each other rather than compete. My daughter was climbing a rope, and there was her friend down below saying “look at what she can do.”

“We have consistently had the best employees with Waldorf backgrounds. The consistent, open and thoughtful nature is a quality we have come to associate with the school’s students and teachers alike. Waldorf is a huge asset to our community and our lives.”
