Opportunity, Means, and Investment

At Seattle Waldorf School, we believe that any qualified student who will benefit from attending SWS should have the opportunity. We believe that our school community should mirror the greater community in which we exist, with a student body that is representative of all socioeconomic backgrounds. To achieve this goal, Seattle Waldorf School is committed to providing a reduction in tuition, to the extent that our budget permits, to students whose families qualify.

We carefully calculate tuition to cover our operational costs including teacher salaries, facilities, and necessary supplies. Our financial aid program is supported by the school’s operating budget and targeted annual fundraising.

The value of a SWS education is measured in more than dollars and is an investment families choose for their child’s educational journey.

Tuition and Fees

Families can anticipate annual tuition increases of 6–8%, which support faculty compensation, program enhancement, and facility improvements.

Re-enrollment for current families will begin in February and tuition payments this year will be via our Blackbaud tuition management system.

Step 1 – Complete a Financial Aid Application through Blackbaud before February 1 (new applicants) or January 19 (current families). The majority of Financial Aid is given to families who have applied on time. Limited funds may be available for late applicants.

*Please note the Blackbaud School ID #15138 to be used for your application.

Step 2 – Upload the required supporting documents to Blackbaud by the application deadline.

Step 3 – Notification of Aid will be made through your SWS contract in the spring.

High School application notifications will be sent on February 23.

Preschool-Grade 8 application notifications will be sent on March 22.

Affordability is essential to opportunity.
